This splendid Mala is carefully handmade in Tibet with 108 genuine Natural "Enlightened" Silver-Line Bodhi Seeds and Red Agate beads. The bead diameter is approximately 8mm and the total length of the mala is 34 inches (86 cm). It can be worn as a bracelet, necklace or used for meditation.

Bodhi in sanskrit translates to “enlightened” or "awakenened," therefore the bodhi seed means “enlightened seed.” Bodhi is also a term in Buddhism to reflect a Buddha's understanding of the true nature of things. Many Buddhist wear the bodhi seeds during their meditation practices to ultimately reach enlightenment. The seeds have a special significance to all seekers of divine wisdom as it is under the bodhi tree that Buddha became enlightened. Each seed brings a sense of peace and wisdom on the path to one's own enlightenment.

Malas are used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. This sādhanā (practice) is known in Sanskrit as japa. Malas are typically made with 18, 27, 54 or 108 beads.

Size Guide

Bracelets come in many different sizes and shapes and are a lovely addition to your jewelry collection. When it comes to choosing a bracelet, it is key to make sure that the sizing is just the right fit. The best way to do this is to measure your wrist size. You can use one of the two methods below to do this.

Option 1: With a measuring tape

- Make sure the palm of your hand is facing up
- Open your hand (doing so will ensure you get the real size of your wrist when it’s the largest)
- Snuggly wrap a measuring tape around your wrist
- Read the size on the measuring tape, preferably in inches or centimeters

Option 2: With a piece of paper or string

If you do not have a measuring tape, your piece of paper or string can function pretty much the same way. Wrap the paper or string around your wrist and mark with a pen or marker where the two pieces overlap. Then take your piece of paper or string and measure mark to mark on your ruler.
